Social workers can request an independent visitor for a young person who meets the eligibility criteria of having little or no meaningful contact with parents.
Referrals are made using the service's referral form which is available on request. To request a form on line please complete the application on the next page.

The service is available to any eligible young person placed within Kent or Medway. Spot-purchase arrangements apply for young people placed into Kent or Medway by other local authorities. Details available on request. |
Activity costs for young people looked after by Kent or Medway are recharged on a monthly basis to the referring social worker. All other costs are covered by grants from the local authority. |
